DESCRIPTION
Pulsar’s new AXION 2 XQ38 thermal imaging monoculars are designed for use both at night-time and during the day in adverse weather conditions (fog, smog, rain) to see through obstacles (branches, tall grass, dense bushes, etc.) hindering target detection. Unlike night-vision devices based on electron-optical converters, thermal imaging devices do not need an external light source and are resistant to bright light. AXION 2 XQ38 thermal imagers are designed for various applications including hunting, observation, security, terrain orientation, search and rescue operations, etc. Â

FEATURES – Axion 2 XQ38
17 microns microbolometer pixel size The Axion XQ’s 384×288 @ 17 µm thermal imaging sensor with NETD 40mK ensures perfect detail recognition even in the hardest weather conditions when thermal contrast is low. The smallest temperature differences will be clearly visible during the rainfall, fog or cold mornings in the most difficult conditions for thermal imager. Compact size and light weight Housing made from light-weight magnesium alloy ensures high structural rigidity and ruggedness. Small weight of the monocular makes it a perfect option for long outdoor trips when light yet capable unit is necessary. Detection distance up to 1350 m A powerful F38/1.2 objective lens combined with a 384×288@17µm highly-sensitive thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8m tall object can be detected up to 1350 m away in complete darkness. Stadiametric Rangefinder The stadiametric rangefinder is a dynamic rangefinding scale intended to help determine approximate range to objects with known height 1.7 m (deer), 0.7m (wild boar) and 0.3 m (rabbit). Image boost Technology Pulsar’s proprietary Image Boost Technology is comprised of software algorithms designed to increase imaging clarity and overall image detail. Image Boost results in a sharper, more detailed field of view and enhanced object identification capabilities. Fully waterproof (IPX7 rated) IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection from heavy rainfall, snow or other precipitation. The unit is designed to run flawlessly, even after submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
